At-Home Workout Equipment

OK so obviously in this COVID era the at-home gym equipment and at-home workout ‘industry’ has been blowing up. And now that we are entering in to the Fall and Winter phase, it’s harder to get that daily walk/movement in if you’re in an area with actual seasons. So, if you haven’t already, now is the time to invest in some at-home staples that you can enjoy regardless of whether or not you’re in a pandemic or have a gym membership etc.

Flattering angle?? Michael caught me in my element LOL 💪💪💪

My two recommendations that will give you a lifetime of use are a sturdy yet mobile stair stepper and adjustable weights. Years ago I had purchased the Bowflex adjustable weights and accommodating media stand and can definitely say both my husband and I use them daily/weekly. Each dumbbell can be adjusted up to 52.5 pounds and the quality of this item is worth the investment. I will say I’m pretty sure there has been a price increase (listed for $439 😮right now) since I’ve purchased mine, I got them and the stand on Amazon in 2018 and paid a little over $600 for both, including tax. There are some cheaper options available and you don’t necessarily have to buy the stand/rack to go with the dumbbells, however I can only make a recommendation for the Bowflex brand as these are the ones I have, and frankly, for certain things I don’t believe you should try and get the cheaper option, especially when you want to use these items for 10+ years (or a lifetime!!)

This Fall I also purchased this stair stepper with adjustable resistance bands. Listed at $199 I knew it was up there in price, however, it would be absolutely pointless for me to purchase a different one at half the price but risk it being a squeaky, wobbly piece of crap. I knew this one branded from Women’s Health would be sturdy/heavy and made with quality. It’s not a full blown massive stair stepper but literally accomplishes the exact same thing – cardio and movement with steps. I also love that I can easily store it when not in use, and it justifies watching Netflix. #productivity

I’ve linked the options in this post – add them to your Amazon cart or add them to your X-mas list. 😉
