Lipstick and…

Is it OK to plan an entire outfit around the color of your lipstick? That’s a rhetorical question. I have been wanting to try the vamp look that has been popular this winter but didn’t have a gloss or lipstick in my makeup bag that even came close to the trending dark burgundy color. Admittedly a little late in the game here, and believe me, I KNOW that spring is around the corner but I figured if there is still snow on the ground then I can wear dark lips at night. In order to break my dark lip virginity, I made it a requirement that I try Chanel’s infamous burgundy colors, Rouge Noir (Vamp) and Controversy (this requirement can also be considered, and is, a subconscious excuse to buy more Chanel makeup.) I went to a cosmetic ‘trunk show’ on Saturday and blew up the Chanel counter with the following: chanel makeup for dark lips

Lipstick: Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir (#109) | Liner: Chanel Le Crayon Levres in Rouge Noir – Vamp (#09) | Lipgloss: Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss in Controversy (#72)

I absolutely loved the way my lips looked and as a person who normally does a heavier eye and lighter lip, this was so nice to change it up. I applied the lipstick first and then filled in with the liner and used the gloss for touch ups during the night. Always wear a dark lip with confidence and you’ll immediately feel sexier. And with any lipstick, make sure to remember and check your teeth after application. chanel rouge noir lipstick dark red lipstick
