Word to the Wayfair Deals – Way Day is Coming

Here’s a guest bedroom upgrade that I wanted to do since we moved in, 5 years ago…🤦🏼‍♀️. This is not meant to compete with the beautiful Instagram glam interiors you can get lost in on your feed but had to share because we’ve come a long way from where we originally started.

For this little interior makeover I replaced the headboard, got rid of the ‘boob light’  and put in a new fixture (installed myself), changed out the window treatments, got matching nightstands like a grown up and hung the wall art (which is from Kirkland’s). All other changes/additions came from WayFair and the total cost was $615 including taxes and shipping. A breakdown of what I got is below. And as an FYI, Way Fair is having it’s annual Way Day starting April 10th, where for 36 hours apparently it’s a crazy sale with great deals, free shipping etc. Be sure to check it out and hopefully some of the items I list here get even more of a price knockdown.

Westerleigh 1 Drawer Nightstand
Ordered two of these, pretty easy to assemble and the quality is good.
Paid $145.45/each
Now currently listed at $122.99 on sale as of 4.8.2019 (dammit! 😂)

  Guy Round 2-Light Flush Mount
Paid $70.99
Installed this myself and it is do-able, however, if you have a handyman or someone who is more well-versed/experienced at installing light fixtures save yourself the pain and have them do it. Flush mounts are especially annoying to install.

Maribel Solid Blackout Thermal Grommet Curtain Panels
Paid $55.93
Decent quality, I got these in white so don’t be misled, they will not entirely black out your bedroom, as in pitch black. If you’re wanting that effect then you need to order darker and/or purely black treatments.

Zoe Upholstered Panel Headboard
Paid $145.96
This is my favorite ‘piece’ to this makeover. Very easy to put together, it’s just the headboard then the legs, and you attach them to your frame.

Mixed Metallic Orbit Collage Wall Plaque (from Kirkland’s)
Got this on sale, paid $51.35 (including tax). It’s good size and adds more detail to the room.
